What is the Comfort-O-Meter?Comfort-O-Meter is a unique form of rating site. Comfort-O-Meter is not about how one user rates one particular item. It is about how comfortable YOU make others feel. Comfort-O-Meter is a site where you submit content and others let you know how comfortable they feel about what you submit and thus how comfortable they feel about you. If you've ever provided content to a site, you've gotten a clear (or not) indication about how others rate that particualr item. What you don't get is a clear indication about how comfortable others are with you; the provider of that content. The Comfort-O-Meter attempts to roll all of that information up to show how comfortable others feel about you!
What is the Comfort-O-Meter?There are many many websites that allow people to rate just about anything. In this 1 to 10 world, everyone seems to like to chime in with their two cents worth about how they rate something. Most websites now rely on visitors to not only submit content to a site, but also to allow others to rate the content. The problem is that the composite rating shows the average of how good or bad people think something is. Comfort-O-Meter gives a specific meaning to the rating. While people can tell what their particular comfort level is with a particular item, the rating is not restircted to that particular item. What does this all mean? It means that people submit content to the site. That content can be articles, comments, messages, or images. Comfort-O-Meter visitors can rate the content. The rating affects the site members' overall comfort rating. You can see how individual items rate in terms of comfort level against other like items. You can also see an aggregate comfort level for the user that submitted the content. You can even rate the user him/herself! So, if you have ever wondered what kind of comfort level you give other people, the Comfort-O-Meter is a great place to find out. The more items you submit, the more votes you will get. The more votes you get, the better idea you have of how comfortable others feel with you. As you can probably tell, this website is a work in progress. Everything does not necessarily work yet and the site is starving for content.
